Pros
A lot of it depends on the team you are with. There are teams working on legacy code while there are teams working on cutting edge technologies. People working on legacy stuff would end up cribbing most of the time about minimal work but the latter would be complaining about work life balance. On the whole, I would say that a lot of people here find a work life balance. There are exceptions everywhere. You get the freedom to learn which I think is great. You get great support from the managers and peers that way. You feel safe working here at Micro Focus and that is something everyone would love to have.
Cons
I would say the challenges you face depends on the team you are part of and the manager you get. There are teams getting too process oriented and there are teams lenient with the process. Being lenient gives the employees some amount of freedom to think better and work better. I have seen a lot of people from various teams talk about how managers give them a hard time making them stick to processes. I believe that if the employee is happy the quality of work would also get better.
