      Great Work/Life Balance Company

      Pros

      Great work/life balance company, relatively flat organization, easy access to top executive managements.

      Cons

      Salary is not very competitive. Limited or no yearly merit increase and bonuses despite net revenue positive every quarter over the last 20 years. Very pathetic company contributions to 401K plan. Limited upward career opportunities within the company. Perks (business class/economy premium flights, great bonuses, walled offices, etc) are reserved to management team despite company preaches employees are the greatest assets and org charts places individual contributors on top and managers at the bottom (upside down org chart).

      -Flat hierarchy for such a large company in 2008 -Paid back paycuts very soon after bottom of US recession -Varied projects to work on -50% engineering, 50% people-facing technical sales -Competitive pay -Co workers actually know what they're doing

      Cons

      -Located in San Jose, CA which is really boring -I hear it's not such a great place to work anymore, much more political
