never have weekends, terrible shifts, shifts change every 6 months so don't ever get comfortable because you will hate your next one, people that have been there for significantly less time can choose their shifts before you, even in tech support the customers will treat you like you are worth less than rancid cockroach excrement. Call center employees are the last segment of the population that it is still acceptable to bully. The anonymity of the phone gives people much larger cajones and every single person that calls in immediately thinks you're nothing more than a tech scheduling secretary that can do no more than locate a power cord. People will constantly talk down to you and your anxiety will build to the point of almost getting a nervous breakdown. This is just tech support, we don't deal with money. Also, they don't care what your excuse is (your entire family could have died), if you're more than 59 seconds late then you're late and it's an occurrence. There's basically no upward mobility, you're a cog in the machine, it's a call center. Keep in mind, a lot of this is any call center.
