Pros

Pay is OK (could be higher but could also be lower). Decent hours. Great holiday & vacation time/sick time. Not as busy compared to other banks. Fair scheduling. Lax dress code. Fun at times (dressing up for Holidays/potlucks/etc). Learning resources like MU, Midland University, for department skills & other life lessons. Employee recognition and involvement from CEO. Organized website and transparent salaries. Excellent ADP technology.

Cons

Toxic work environment. Micromanaging, blaming others, and unhealthy teamwork. Management is quick to point fingers but slow to resolve issues and communicate solutions. Staff feels suffocated by tasks either untrained for or piled on to. Universal Banker seems like a job made to work two positions (Teller & Personal Banker) for the pay of one. Poor health benefits with only *extremely high deductible plans. Annual bonuses taken away causing decreased incentives. Meanwhile, quarter goals increase with no basis. Harsher critiques than praise. Team moral VERY low.

Pros

Banking is an Essential job. Paid Covid time off, Two weeks vacation at start of being full time.

Cons

No more bonus's at end of the year, only commissioned bonus. Some people aren't consistent so it can make for a confusing learning process, and nothings ever black and white.
