Pros
1. I’ve met a few great people 2. I’ve made good money in relation to other people 3. I’ve learned a lot about life from a few people
Cons
1. Corporate is all about politics: If you speak your mind, you either get in trouble or they act like they care but do nothing 2. Working during the winter is hell: Snow and Ice on almost every Car that you are required to spray completely off so get used to ice shards and snow getting all over your body, Close to 0 degrees outside, and almost always understaffed so enjoy having to freeze your fingers and toes off. 3. Corporate acts like this job’s pay is amazing...spoiler alert: it’s not. Some people have worked at Mikes their entire life and have no POV other than Mikes so if you offer a unique perspective it will get shut down. You’re better off working at UPS or any other retail job that pays more than 9$. 4. Management knows nothing with the exception of a few people: They are given minimal training and then thrown into the battle to make the company look good by “filling positions” when the candidates aren’t qualified. 5. CEO is extremely rude and is money hungry 6. Expected to strictly follow customer engagement models. Example: have a great day is not an acceptable send off, you must say something along the lines of, thanks for stopping at mikes, we’ll make sure to get your car all cleaned up. Customer’s don’t want robots, they want genuine human interaction but corporate is oblivious and stubborn to change. 7. 95% of the employees, mainly management spread gossip like a wildfire. Be careful what you say. The amount of power hungry people within this company is absurd and will go to upper management instead of tell it to your face because they are too scared to tell you. 8. Unrealistic goals are set for you and if you fail to reach them then you will suffer the consequences. 9. Have fun scrubbing the walls for 8 hours on a rain day.
