Pros

I cannot find anything positive!

Cons

- Everything they tell you in the beginning seems to lead you to believe "This is a great place to work", do not believe the hype! - Micromanagement - Most people are out there and not friendly. They will treat you like an outsider. - Unrealistic daily task demands - Management only cares about the metrics, not the employees - They will put so much pressure on you to meet their goals, they will actually make you sick! This happened to me! - Terrible communication! They train everyone to use chat to communicate, no one knows how to speak to each other. - When they speak of culture, think cult! This is a cult! -They will put pressure on you and try to make you resign.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am very sorry that your experience with Miles IT did not match our intention of being a best place to work. We are committed to creating a comfortable, transparent, and collaborative environment for all employees, so I am disappointed to hear some of your feedback. We have a diverse team of supportive and friendly people and I'm sorry to hear that you did not experience an inclusive team environment with us. It can be difficult in a remote work environment to maintain a sense of inclusiveness, but we do our best to get people talking and involved. Some of our recent initiatives in this endeavor have been our monthly "Coffee With Coworkers" meets where our entire staff is invited to chat and mingle. As well as our goal this year to have regional meet-ups so our remote staff can get together in person for some fun and conversation. Last month we were selected as the #1 Best Place To Work on the Philadelphia Business Journal's annual list. I believe this ranking, based on anonymous feedback from employees, demonstrates that we are a great place to work with a team of people who genuinely enjoy working for Miles IT. We believe in a strong work/life balance and we aim to set reasonable goals for our employees. As our company is growing and our client base is growing, we are actively hiring to ease the workload for all of our teams. Our managers advocate for their teams and we've recently updated our metrics so our goals are attainable and sustainable. We provide extensive training for our staff, and we do our best to be as thorough as possible. The benefit of having a largely remote work model does present a challenge in training but with our buddy/mentor program, chat and video meets we feel like we are able to provide a similar training model to what we could do in-office. That said, it is important for individuals to advocate for themselves if they struggle so management can reinforce training when needed. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us make Miles ITs a better place to work. I wish the very best for all of our staff - past, present, and future. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. If you wish to provide specific feedback about your experience with us or what about our culture gave you the feeling of "cult" you can email us at careers@milesit.com.

Pros

Office is clean and well stocked with a huge kitchen of food for free. Co workers generally are nice and mostly helpful.

Cons

- Everyone is over worked and stressed out. Extreme burnout is and turnover. - The workload is constant and they micromanage everything you do. They have you micromanaged down to the minute and scrutinize if you spend even a few minutes longer on a task they deem should have taken you X amount of time to complete. - The training looks like its going to be in depth and robust but when it comes down to teaching you there way of working there multiple systems there really is nobody to help you. You are thrown immediately into the fire. I was lucky that i had a coworker next to me who was super helpful for the first 6+ weeks to answer and show me things. Management did not give me those tools to succeed. - The stress was so bad we routinely had people on my team of 10+ people have panic attacks or just frustration fits because the work load was so much. and some of these were "seasoned" empoyees of 5+ years. - Had one employee quit in the middle of the day because the stress just got to him. - The workload is INSANE and you are expected to be working on 30+ problem tickets of varying difficulties at the same time and given updates hourly on all those tickets. - Management has nothing better to do then to interrupt your work to scrutinize all your open work constantly. This adds even more stress to your already stressful workload.

Thank you for being part of our company. Even though your employment with us ended, we hope that you look back on the positive experiences. Most people who make long-term careers at our company thrive in our bustling environment and prefer that to a slower pace. Most of our staff are exhilarated by the opportunities provided by a company that is busy and growing and are not looking to do less in their days. We understand this is not for everyone, yet it is our culture. We work because we love what we do. We do not look to do less. We look to accomplish more. We believe most of our staff feel the same since our average tenure is through-the-roof compared to other growing companies. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and we hope you grow to look back on the good regarding your time with us.

Pros

There are many very nice people who will teach you interesting things and help you, even if it doesn't benefit them to do so.

Cons

All the legos and cereal don't make up for being constantly overworked to the point of mental exhaustion. You can work as hard as humanly possible and it will never be enough. Every one in my department is always working hard, yet still always behind and being micromanaged/prodded along relentlessly by managers.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We definitely work hard and I appreciate all of your efforts to help the team and our customers. Being overworked and exhausted is not our goal and I know I can help you avoid this in the future. What we accomplish together can be applied to anyone else who might feel the same way. It could be a simple adjustment to your schedule, job description, or team. Please schedule a “private” meeting for you and me if you would like my assistance.
