Pros

Allows individuals and practices to develop unique strategies for managing people, creating communications, resolving problems and building new business relationships. Management team within a practice can evaluate ideas, and green light new hires or allocate resources without respect to annual hiring plan or corporate mandates. The advancement track is based on, among other things, what new process, technology, or product are you responsible for and did it add value to the practice?

Cons

Competition between regional practices is good, and so is a greater degree of collaboration.
