      Pros

      The people at Milliman are extremely bright. If you fit in with the team, you can learn a lot at Milliman. The hours also aren't too bad, especially for a consulting company. This is good from a work/life balance, if that is important to you.

      Cons

      The office environment can be cliquish and stale. If you are new to consulting, expect to spend a substantial portion of your time alone in front of computer. Not a lot of personal interaction

      Pros

      -Pay -Benefits package -Very generous 401(k) plan -Nice people to work with -Majority of employees work 8:30 to 4:45, Mon-Fri, so good work life balance for most

      Cons

      -Lack of internal communication: communication between upper levels and communication from upper levels to lower level staff, groups feel segregated -Lack of vision of the upper level team, act reactionary to situations

      Pros

      I really liked all of my co-workers. The annual bonuses and perks were nice. General comp and other benefits were decent for an entry level position.

      Cons

      Over worked and under organized. My office had over-expanded over the last five years. As a result there was too much work to do for experienced employees to be able to train new employees well. This resulted in a cycle of new hires not staying long enough to learn their job well enough to make things better.
