Pros

Very interesting projects at scale, and great people. The company puts emphasis on your professional growth with a customized skills development plan per person. The teams have a lot of autonomy in how they operate, and MindGeek is always interested as much by research than the finished product, which is great. It was great to work at MindGeek. The company cares about its people. During covid, they would send packages home and host virtual parties, and they would pay for virtual team lunches every month. Also, very good salaries.

Cons

If there is one thing I did not like, it’s that the code was often overly complex, as my team would inherit projects from R&D teams. I do not think it makes sense to have teams building projects, than pushing the support/maintenance to another one.
