Pros

This can be a great place for career growth Good people Wide range of products and tech stacks with an option to change teams if desired

Cons

This company has changed drastically since I was first hired. Initially, the benefits and upward mobility were awesome. Now, well, not so great: * Benefits are a shadow of what they once were * They determined I was being paid roughly $20k below what I should be getting paid and gave me a sad little bump in pay (far below what is competitive) * Teams in the US are composed of groups of people that are left over, as they don't seem to hire new people in the US/similar timezones to fill backfill positions. Teams are missing fundamental components!! * People are jumping ship right and left; morale is low * While current teams suffer, the new India office is thriving. It feels like they want longtime employees to leave... * There have been some cult-like, almost televangelist moments during meetings

Pros

Leadership has good intentions, communication company wide is regular and in as much detail as they can provide.

Cons

Covid highlighted how thin the margins were with the layoff and furlough of so many employees. Those that were left or brought back from furlough were expected to keep the ship righted with such limited resources and no extra compensation or benefits. Being a respected high performer meant you took 3-4 peoples jobs on at the sacrifice of your life outside of work. “Balance” was preached but not practiced. While I always felt leadership had the best intentions there is a lot of corporate gaslighting and overpromising for growth and opportunity. You stuck around because you thought one day you would have growth based on what you were told, and that wasn’t really true. The expectation is that we all have skin in the game to make the company a success but aren’t provided any financial incentive. So many people with amazing potential work there, so I hope their work is recognized and rewarded before they lose more of them. Compensation and benefits are not as innovative or progressive as the company would like you to think. They’re really just okay in the industry. Many leaders are in those leadership roles at all levels for the first time, so they are also trying to figure out what they’re doing. When I left the company, my new employer asked me if I thought Mindbody would make it, and my answer was “yes because Vista won’t let them not make it.” This comes at a high price, literally and figuratively, of the culture and the people (and ultimately your bottom line when you lose those people).
