Pros

The People - co-workers are friendly and some have become like family. Location- Bethlehem location is close to my home. Benefits - Although benefits have been reduced they still offer a good package. The new CEO has cleaned house and closed or is selling business units that were not profitable - this was needed to insure our continued success

Cons

New CEO, Joe Muscari has proven that the phrase "people are our most valuable asset" is not longer applicable to MTI. Downsizing has been taken to a dangerous level in the Bethlehem location in some departments. Concern is growing that MTI cannot sustain business at this level. Burnout is sure to occur and a mass exit of good employees is taking the knowledge base to low levels in some departments. Oursourcing is also being considered which is killing what morale is left.

Pros

Outside of senior management, MTI folks are great people

Cons

This company is not focused on growth, they are focused on money and budget cuts. No top line growth, just slashing expenses. CEO Joe Muscari is involved in every single decision and doesn't make good ones at that. His salary is astronomical yet he still feels that employees under him should be over worked and underpaid. No work life balance. Definitely ruined AMCOL once acquired.
