Pros

This was a very flexible work schedule when you had outside appointments. Generous time off and holidays - work from home on occasion SPOT team was great and collaborated across sites

Cons

Extremely undervalued by upper management, as well as limited communication. Many empty promises including pay raises etc..... Human resource department was understaffed and did a poor job manipulating policies in the handbook which led to negative effects for multiple employees. Although the productivity standards are lower and look appealing, there is TONS of extra work/meetings/paperwork etc.... that requires attention that is not accounted for.

Pros

Pay was pretty decent *if* you finshed your comps which earn you raises, had some amazing coworkers, AMAZING KIDS, great schedule.

Cons

HR is impossible to get to help with real issues, anytime something breaks it gets removed without replacement (you can’t get a kid to do anything for you if there’s nothing there to reinforce them because it’s all broke), admin staff and corporate staff need to be more transparent about things that effect the entire company, VERY high turnover rate for both entry level positions and administrative positions, 8 hours days with 1 unpaid break (Woodbury center), can be very cliquey, can be challenging work especially if you’re not used to working with ASD kids, up until recently you were not allowed to bring toys for the kids to play with or your own personal back pack to carry things around, it always felt like admin was spying and try to catch people doing things wrong instead of doing their actual jobs, most lead therapists let their title and what little power they actually had get to their heads and would go on ego trips, PTO was a joke, paid holidays are great but having Black Friday off unpaid isn’t same goes for the days around other federal holidays, very negative vibes in general.

Pros

The clients are fun, great kids

Cons

Terrible upper management, terrible CEO- Jeff Nichols. They make changes then retract what they said, which makes it difficult to understand what they want you to do, frankly, they don’t know what they are doing. MAC has changed for the worst thanks to the new ceo and “leadership” team. They ask a lot of you and don’t reward you for all the sacrifices you make. Wouldn’t be surprised if this ship sinks. People are jumping off at an alarming rate!
