Pros

The benefit to help those who genuinely need help with their hearing. -Gaining praise from the elderly for your improvement of their existing hearing devices Flexible Schedule if needed for appointments -Typically 9AM-5PM which is nice Ability to run your own office with minimal upper management breathing down your back If you are a pushy sales person and can sell the product no matter what your thoughts are you can sell a good amount of hearing aids making money while doing such

Cons

100% Commission Paid training which is very minimal. Once you enter your prospective store you are immediately on commission, no leeway to get the store running from the last person who had failed out there. Sink or swim High Turnover 95% of the customers who come in are 67 years or older. There are few people who are knock-outs within this field that make the projected 50-60K annually as said by VP. Their technology is stuck in the early 90's. Completely locked on what you can see or do on the internet/Outlook If no tests come in then you literally clean hearing aids for the week and make no money at all. You HAVE to sell the product at the close of testing(which is a completely Canned Speech) if not, you will 90% of the time not hear back from them Haphazard training. You're thrown to the wolves when you enter your office environment. No room for growth except to pile years onto how long you've been working here. Once you are a consultant there is no where else to move upward.

Pros

The schedule was somewhat flexible. I worked in sales at a JC Penny store.

Cons

Local management that only cared about how well they did and were not helpful. Sales people should not be fitting and selling hearing aids in my opinion. Other salesmen should not manage the district. Their main goal is to increase their bottom line, not to help you reach yours.
