Pros

Great way to see government operate, get to know people in pensioned positions, good for networking in and outside the government

Cons

Not a lot of benefits, not a ton of time off, and time sheets are a pain to submit

Able to access jobs at federal agency/department

Cons

While performing the same duties as many federal workers, seemed like we received inferior compensation (including benefits) and certainly less job security. This is probably true across many federal contractor companies, but it is part of why I left.
