Good mission, but still acts like a start-up

Pros

The people on the whole were great. Smart people who were actually invested in the mission of the company to stop/save food waste.

Cons

Having a grand plan is great, but when that's continually side-lined because of day-to-day reality that could have been prevented before it happened undermines any ability to progress. Facility operations/distribution and the technical engineering/white collar side of the company were always on opposite sides of the fence from each other.
