Doing Their Best

Pros

Inclusive health benefits, PTO accrual system is decent, hard work is rewarded. Very vocal about using your rewards.

Cons

HCA’s intentional understaffing, lower than average pay increases (2%), and lack of help from regional management. No bonuses. Few holidays, all unpaid.

IT nightmare

Pros

Department manager is fair, decent 403b contribution match, free parking for employees, coworkers are helpful

Cons

Clinical lab is *severely* understaffed, LIS is terrible and slow, interface software is terrible and slow (both of these things are not only frustrating but really impact your efficiency over the course of your shift), HCA unresponsive to staffing needs in the interest of saving a buck, corporate culture is nonexistent.

Pros

The people were genuinely there to help care for the community and provide the best health care service. My fellow assistants were wonderfully hard-working and we all developed a bond.

Cons

Executive team did not listen to the feedback of the support staff. We were bottom of the barrel and often mistreated and disrespected.
