The company culture took a major hit in 2025. Teams were eliminated without realistic plans to cover the work, but expectations stayed the same. Working 60-hour weeks became the norm just to keep up, while senior leaders post photos of themselves drinking at conferences on Linked In. Micromanagement was constant and comes from every direction, upper management and lab-level management. You’d be watched so closely that it was hard to do your job efficiently or independently, and there was very little trust. Benefits costed more than they’re worth, and new systems were rolled out before they were ready, which just created more work and frustration. Despite the constant talk about “culture,” there was little real appreciation, no bonus, just company wide email blasts saying “thanks for all you do - work harder so we get our stocks up.” Everyone was burnt out and exhausted. It felt like fighting for your job every day and it was horrible. This job severely affected mental and physical health due to being toxic, and poor leadership. I would run fast if you want to work here in 2026 in the office side of the company. They don’t care about you

Poorly ran organization, they’ll dispose of you just as soon as the bonuses are impacted. It starts at the very top with the new C suite that was brought in. None of them understand the business or the market they exist in. Their own ability to plan is impacting people’s life and career. They also own a few smaller companies that they are very unfamiliar with how their business operates and this creates a bunch of challenges. Mistras continues to hire managers, VP, and other leadership roles while reducing the actual workforce that gets the work accomplished.
