It's been said before but it's true: this is not a place where you can simply clock in and out of a traditional 9–5. People work hard here, and expectations are high. Because the team is made up of high performers who care deeply about the work, the culture can sometimes feel like it lacks breathing room, despite the best efforts of some amazing leaders.
Work-life balance is still finding its footing. Leaders do listen, acknowledge the feedback, and make real efforts to improve, but it is not fully there yet.
Onboarding and internal knowledge-sharing are also still evolving. That said, they have come a long way in less than six months, and I have full faith they will continue to improve. The company is very much still in its “toddler phase” as a startup, which means some processes are still being built as the company grows.
There is a pretty even split between remote and in office folks. Depending on how you feel about either type of work, it can definitely be tricky.
