      New office has brightened things up

      Pros

      Before acquisition Hitec saved every penny they could. Now Mitratech have recently relocated the office and improved the facilities substantially to help employee morale. They offer benefits above and beyond the competition in the area, and from what I've seen they recognise and reward competence and mastery of software development skills.

      Cons

      Leadership is focussed in the US, and as always in arrangements like this, communication can be a bit of a challenge. The Swansea office has recently hired a new development manager who is doing a good job bringing the teams together.

      Misguided Leadership, no direction

      Pros

      The people that work here are truly great.

      Cons

      The leadership and more importantly, the management have no leadership capabilities and provide little to no direction. The turnover rate is incredibly high because of this. If you can last 1 year here then you are considered tenure, a veteran employee.

      Pros

      Great culture and people. People really work hard and collaborate to get things done. A lot of people move around in the organization to different roles or via promotions. Core values are actually seen here, and leadership team is very transparent. Willing to take a chance on someone with no experience and help them build their career.

      Cons

      Collaboration is good, but with a growing company sometimes there are breakdowns across teams, especially technical teams. But this is also something people are aware of and are working on. Compensation is fair, but in Austin where the market for tech roles is high, it is not as high as other bigger companies.
