Lots of wasted time. The communication between Application and Manufacturing Engineering is poor. I can't count how many times I'd be working on tooling for a product whose design was already changed without notifying my team. Many times this was just the nature of the work, but it was frustrating never-the-less.
The HR department is a revolving door. In the 6 months or so I was there I talked to 3 different HR reps. This led to HR not knowing company policies about Internships as well as not being able to build and maintain relationships with Coops. I know for a fact this led to many qualified people leaving and getting full-time employment elsewhere.
Final point, don't expect a job offer at the end. Very rarely does Modine hire Coops at the end of their term. This probably is do to its financial strength right now but its something all new hires should be aware of.
