Benefits are a joke for production employees. Work 12 hours shifts and get 1 1/2 points per absence on a 10 point system. Shift differential is only. 15¢, They use a lot of temp workers, but never hire full-time. Having hard time finding people because reputation is out there. No traditional pension, and they suspended their 401k contribution. Salary people have sick pay, but production has none. The only place I've worked that really needs a union. Have always thought employees and management could work things out without a union, but Modine in Joplin has changed my mind on that

environment. no a/c so very hot in the summer. management and communication leaves some to be desired especially since a division was made in the company
