Pros

A winning environment. People are talented and work well together in most departments. The company invests in fun social events to cultivate teamwork and relationships. I've been at other life sciences companies and the management is focused on results and career development and are active in getting out to meet employees. I feel like they care. The DBS tools are tough to learn, but do make a real difference in results. Good communication and a lot of investment in time to communicate the strategy and vision to the employees while asking for feedback for improvements...makes me feel part of the team and that I can make a difference.

Cons

Not a lifestyle company. The work is challenging, but the ability to learn and grow is the best I've ever seen

Fun place to work but can be demotivating

Pros

MD is a fun and exciting place to work. The company is struggling to invigorate growth given a portfolio of declining products negating the impacts of the high growth lines. Many of the people are a joy to work with as is most management. The work is challenging and the workload is heavy but the experience is rewarding and being at a Danaher company is a great resume booster.

Cons

Resources are always constrained but management seems to accept at face value that PDV is fully engaged and therefore new product development is very slow. It is demotivating to see poor performance rewarded, particularly when it takes away rewards (bonus, salary) from good performers.

Pros

Part of Danaher corp and exposure to lean and Danaher Business tools is interesting. Good people and maintains a relatively small OpCo feel.

Cons

Health of company in question as revenues do not grow. This leads to tight budgets and product lines that become stale. Executive team does not set clear vision
