Pros

Focused DH owner. Hard to see much more pros for the moment. Used to be a lot more inspiring feeling part of a team instead just part of a machine...

Cons

Well as just said company become an efficient machine but lost lots of its soul at the same time. The team spirit and drive has been lost in many ways. Lots of knowhow and experience lost last couple of years as they do not manage to keep instrument/support specialists knowledge gets more and more diluted...

Pros

Was a great place, until revenue became #1 priority in 2010. Great scientists, engineers and business folks prior to 2010.

Cons

Now all they care about is delivering cash from former good business to parent company to avoid being sold. Pay attention to your customers more than maintaining your personal salary.

Pros

The service organization is phenomenal. The leadership on this team is great, and they truly value their employees having a good work/life balance. They expect a lot from their employees, but provide lots of support and are very receptive to new ideas and ways of doing things. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Cons

The company could do a better job of kreping remote employees in the loop. There have been some changes recently in where different functions are being performed, which has resulted in some layoffs at company headquarters, but it seems like all companies in this field are having changes/layoffs/reorgs. However, I'm impressed with how the changes and layoffs are handled - management is very open about what is happening and why, which is very different than how my previous company handled it.
