Pros

My direct colleagues are great easy going office internal gatherings

Cons

After 3 years I have seen my team diminished to just a handful and all the extra work piled on by management without any pay or title increase in years. You are always asked to do more, help more, participate more, but this is a one way street and you will get egg on your face if you think otherwise. When this was Abila we had great community with great pay and benefits. The benefits went away real quick when Community Brands took over and every quarter they get a bit less. The management team and higher ups got large raises on the backs of their employees who got peanuts if anything at all and lost a good chunk of the benefits promised. I have so much more I think you get the idea.

Pros

Solid work-life balance (lots of flexibility with remote work and hours), cool people to work with. Decent work/salary if you're starting out. Since CB is in the tech space, decent transition options once you decide to leave. Got a cool mouse pad from the culture pep rally.

Cons

Constant acquisition of companies means CB will eventually sell out and lay a ton of people off like they have done in the past. Your pay will most likely not change once you're hired and chances for advancement are near 0 (no raises/bonuses in 2+ years), so make sure to ask for a large number out of the gate. Unfortunately, salary is also below market for the work. However, did get a mouse pad!

Thank you for your feedback, especially your highlighting cool people to work with and the company’s commitment to culture. These are benefits of working at Community Brands. The company continues to grow and serve new customers, and there may be some organizations that are in transition. Improvements and updates to the business are ongoing, and that’s an exciting aspect of the work environment.
