Great engineers, incompetent management and HR

Pros

Got to learn a lot just by observing and working with some of the great engineers and technicians who are working with very limited resources and Frustratingly incompetent management. These people have 'can-do' attitude, work against all odds, stay focused and make things happen. Most importantly backing each other up while rooting for success.

Cons

Management is clueless about business model, has no vision, believes that throwing more people will solve the problem. Retired ex-Space1.0 VPs with no clue of 'silicon valley' best practices, are living in denial. HR is incompetent to say the least, IT is headache.

Pros

friendly co workers, free almost fully stocked break room, nice looking facility and convenient location

Cons

executive assistant to the CEO creates a toxic work environment, atrocious leadership, HR is out of touch with reality, employees seem to come and go frequently, constant overtime but never really progressing, bldg maintenance changes several hands for contract approvals but never finalized. ball-less CEO

Pros

First day I started I called a former employee who said I should look for other work, so I did and then left.

Cons

Upper management doesn't understand what a startup is. HR is run by an out of touch person from the generation that could buy a home when they were in their mid 20s but still complains young people aren't having enough children
