Sinking Ship

Pros

You get to work in a nice building.

Cons

Imagine the Titanic, except that no one aboard is charismatic or has a British accent. So you're walking aboard this ship that looks really awesome. People are waving at you and smiling and clapping like baboons. You're completely unsuspecting of what you've gotten yourself into. You feel like you're in First Class, but those first 3 seconds/ 3 weeks don't last. That iceberg is coming, and FAST. The same people/ coworkers who smiled in your face are really passive aggressive, pretentious drones that are only smiling because they just received some management gratification for stroking their narcissistic egos with fake compliments and forced positivity via company-wide email chains. And don't even think about being respectful to the other classes on the ship which primarily include your clients or candidates. The bulldog tactics of THREATENING candidates and clients with rescinding offers of employment, incessant phone abuse (try calling someone north of 10 times during any given HOUR, even 9:00 at night), and of course the passive-aggressive threatening of your own position if you go against the grain. You don't feel comfortable bullying clients into making a decision right there and now on your time, or maybe bullying people into accepting jobs the very second an offer comes in? Get ready for some good ol' fashion shaming, pushing and "pep talks" to follow. It's enough to make you want to jump off the side of the ship. And many, MANY people do. I worked at the company for a significant period of time and after putting up with months of seeing co-workers be bullied and sold out by two-faced peers and dim-witted managers, I finally got off the boat. Of course this is after witnessing numerous people get fired or leave, including various managers around the country. Another fair warning, if you don't respect the companies flawed logic on how to execute a respected business, you better get ready for the rockiest ride of your life until you jump or you're eventually thrown off the ship, without a life jacket. Hope you know how to swim. Everything at this company is a joke. If one of your professional values is trusting and respecting management, or taking pride in sales and recruiting, I'd seek out other ships. If you only care about money, I would also look elsewhere because ironically, as much as they pressure clients to close deals, pressuring clients for payment is taboo. Average commission payout time: 4 months plus and standard commission in the industry is about 5-7% HIGHER than here. They will promise you the best trip of your life with amazing perks of sailing with Mondo but don't be fooled by the luster of the boat. This company drained the life out of me for MONTHS. Every day I woke up hating life solely because of a job I was good at and a company that I succeeded within. You came to Glassdoor to check out the company so you must be smart enough to conclude that over half of the reviews on this site are "fake". The first thing the company did when they rebranded from Bluewolf was force their employees to do promotional things like what you see here, as well as vote for "Best Place to Work," etc. Remember, the only "PRO" of this place is that you might work in a nice building... but then again, the Titanic was also a beautiful looking ship... until it sank.

Pros

free snacks in exchange for your soul...you know, if you're into that sorta thing

Cons

Let me start by saying working here was the worst experience of my life. If there was an option to pick an overall rating below Very Dissatisfied, I would have picked it. Do NOT be fooled by all the FAKE reviews on glassdoor. The people at Mondo are the same people from BLUEWOLF, they just took everyone from the staffing side and started calling themselves Mondo. If you want to read REAL reviews on this company check out the old reviews on Bluewolf (of course you'll have to weed through the BS of fake ones on that page as well, but it shouldn't be too hard - just look for the ones that sound like they weren't written by a trained baboon.) It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the majority of reviews on Mondo are fake. They reek of upper managements lackluster vocabulary and inability to form an original coherent thought. Take a handful of recent college graduates and mix them with a pack of bully managers and what do you get? Answer: A bunch of inexperienced kids who are asked (cough cough, forced) to write reviews on a company they just started working for. These "kids" know their reviews are going to be read by the same people asking them to write them, so what do they do? They write something that won't get them fired...for now. (Tip: An easy way to spot the fake reviews - look for phrases like "hit the ground running" "growth potential" "launch your career" "push the envelope" etc..these are some of managements favorite phrases) Bluewolf, excuse me, Mondo, doesn't care about its employees, consultants, or clients. The only thing they care about is $$$$$. They are just another run of the mill staffing firm that would probably sell your first born child if it meant closing a deal. Don't get me wrong, if you enjoy high-stress environments coupled with low morals, long hours, passive-aggressive attitude, verbal abuse, and a HIGH TURNOVER rate, than this is the place for you! If however, you have any form of common sense, RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! PS - Everyone I know who has ever left Bluewolf...ugh, old habits are so hard to break!...I mean...Mondo...has been much happier somewhere else. Just look them up on LinkedIn and ask them for yourself, I'm sure they would be happy to tell you the TRUTH.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Pros

Work here if you want to learn what not to do...

Cons

Upper management is a sorority/frat party that loves to gossip and feed off each other's egos. They changed their name to Mondo because no one wanted to work with them and I am sure once companies see their old tactics it will be the same.
