Pros

Good offices In good locations

Cons

Just go to a popular social media sight for professionals, You know the one. Message former employees and ask for their honest opinion... I will Guarantee 90% of people will tell you it is awful and let you know how much happier they are elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and just go do that please... You do not even have to read On... But if you want to... Awful hours, horrible Level of VPs w/no experience elsewhere and zero business acumen, It's laughable. Churn and burn atmosphere. Rapid expansion I am sure will come to a Halt as offices are failing, evidenced by benefits being cut left and right. A restructured commisson plan that was already below industry standard and a nearly Impossible quota so they no longer have to pay bonuses... Also changed from all employees being eligible to only the first few who hit their number... Genius!!! I really do not even need to go on but please read between the lines of the reviews written by the employees that they ask to write them. Usually 22 year old kids fresh out of school, you will know them, they are all about 3-5 lines long a poor Content and say "it's amazing and unicorns and rainbows are evrywhere!!! " you get my drift. The biggest shock is a company that preaches accountability non-stop yet the VP level can somehow continuously shift blame to people below them again and again and fire managers, sales reps, sales Trainees and recruiters at will.

Pros

1) The people. My manager was awesome, and I genuinely like the people I worked with, maybe because we could all relate about how absolutely miserable we were. Regardless, we still keep in touch. 2) I will never EVER take another job in my life for granted or complain. This was by far the worst job and I was treated like a slave. (think child labor)

Cons

Here it goes: 1) This wasn’t my first job out of college like it was for most ISAMs but they treated you as if you were straight stupid. I kid you not, I sat in almost a 2 hour training meeting (keep in mind we have a quota to make) telling us what we could not wear in the office, example #1 being ripped jeans. Wait a second…ripped jeans are NOT professional? GET OUT OF TOWN! My business degree NEVER taught me that! 2) Quota: You are expected to hit a quota everyday, once you start hitting it, they expect more, more, more. Which is to be expected in Sales. However, if for some reason you just hit your quota they’ll ask you why? what could you have done different? how are you going to change what you do tomorrow? As if I wanted to fail or not exceed quota. (Here's a hint: I did the same thing everyday , some days I got 5 meetings, somedays I got 0.... IT'S SALES) 3) Once you start getting more meetings, then they take away accounts that you have been successful with and mastered. There were times where I ran out of people to call… Now you tell me, how are you supposed to hit a quota if you don’t even have enough contacts to reach out to? Oh that’s right! Find more, aka enter in BS contacts that are not worth reaching out to. 4) Overall this job turned me into such a bitter and negative person, I hated who I was because of my job, and felt sick to my stomach every Sunday, knowing what I had to go back to. Some ISAMS would get physically sick from being so nervous about failing and being ostracized in front the office and "ISAM Nation." No one should ever feel that way. 5) Turnover. I can't event count the amount of people I saw leave, and I was only there for 3 months...sad. I'd say there was more turnover than people in the actual office. Worst part is I expressed my concern about this in my interview, they lied. 6) Getting fired. No matter how hard you may try, it won't happen until you quit. They're too cheap to pay unemployment. So they'll make you miserable until you can't deal with it anymore. Long story short, I quit, along with 6 other ISAMs (there were 9 of us) and I got my life back. with a hell of a lot better job/company. ***To all recent college grads out there…you have been warned, respect yourself and don’t settle for this job…they WILL hire you.****

Pros

It's easy to get hired because all they look for is someone with a "competitive" track record (sports, sorority/fraternity, leadership, student government or previous sales experience), a somewhat outgoing personality and someone who will work hard without being pushed to. As an employee, if you are a top performer, you'll make more money than the average 22-30 year old who graduated with similar credentials but only if you're a top performer (top 2 in your office). If money is what's #1 for you, then this would be the appropriate company for you. There are perks available for you that other staffing agencies typically won't offer and coworkers are usually great people who are stuck in the same boat as you. If you want to relocate, this would also be a good company because they move you to help them open new offices. Usually their offices are in cool locations. Another pro is that you'll learn the very basics but you're better off applying them somewhere else.

Cons

They will advertise that they'll teach you business and sales but really they only teach you how to bug clients incessantly and fit into the typical staffing agency persona. Hours are not just 8am-6pm, but around the clock to meet client needs but that's typical of any agency really but the point is work/life balance isn't achievable. You'll learn what you need to learn, but eventually hit a ceiling if you aren't let go first for quotas that are pretty unrealistic. This is also why longevity at the company is very rare and only in management will you find employees who have been there for any more than 3 years; most people part within 1-2 years after the realization as listed above. There is a huge deal of micromanagement no matter what level you are on but they are trying to work on that issue, I suppose. There is a lot of blatant favoritism as well and (in any company, but this in particular) you will witness a lot of sucking up.
