Healthcare projects are repetitive and stale. Upward mobility is extremely difficult. New approaches or ideas are not supported.

I was laid off after five months while my boss was away on a business trip. Leadership claimed they had "forecasted wrong" when they hired me and actually wouldn't have enough work to keep me, despite the fact that I had been working overtime for the month leading up to being laid off. Turns out they went around my boss, too, because she had no idea it was happening. I'm disappointed about all of it because I was learning so many new skills and eager to continue developing with the company, but now it's hard to want to work for a place that would do their employees so dirty... Also, they claim to be invested in diversity, equity, and inclusion work but the ELT is made up of white men and the staff itself is disproportionately white. Not sure how much actual work is happening when DEI discussion topics include hard hitting subjects like "Holiday traditions."
