Pros

If you are in a favored discipline or department (business, athletics), it's a great place to work. Beautiful campus, great perks. Great pay scale if you are in one of these fields. Also catering and campus dining are excellent.

Cons

If you are not in a favored discipline or department (humanities), it's demoralizing. Constant budget cuts, staff cuts, marginalization by administration. Students are pampered and spoiled, not much is asked of many of them, and they act like they can do no wrong. Pay scale is predominantly lower for female-dominated fields. Campus ethos is fairly conservative.
