The amount of essential work contributed was not reflected in pay vs. others on the larger team. I should have had a commission structure built into my agreement with the brokerage teams if we won corporate business, renewed existing clients or sold new services. I know better now, looking back I was often a work horse and the pay discrepancy was such that if I had been given something... even a couple thousand dollars for a multimillion dollar deal (and I averaged working on 40-52 of them per year...), it would have made all the difference. It is too bad as I really loved working there.
