Pros

Great, smart people regularly available Abundance of resources available Very flexible work hours (but as a financial advisor program that is to be expected)

Cons

Slow processes for some very simple tasks (aka bureaucratic), but that's to be expected at any big firm really Compensation is unacceptable. Inadequate starting salary for surrounding cost of living, and it begins to go away after 1 year. There's virtually no aid in getting your business off the ground (they give you $260.00 a year in expense reimbursement, which is an insult coming from a Top 5 bank). They also take 60 - 80% of your sales, depending on your performance. So they take the lion's share of your money, then expect you to then spend even MORE money to build your book.

Pros

The financial compensation is lterally the only reason i'd reccomend someone working there

Cons

Cut throat Environment, its very common to feel like your boss has it out for you, instead of having your best interest at heart If your boss feels like his job is at jeopardy, he may start to throw you under the bus to all of his higher ups, to make him look better and you worse Boss may lie and say that you asked others to do your work, when you simply asked them to do their part of a process that affect you both You get chastised for not knowing things, even when its your first time learning them Your boss might purposely cancel a progress meeting when the meeting may go in your favor and then reschedule it again once he has more dirt to throw on you, or if you have made a mistake during that time period your boss may talk about you behind your back to your peers, enabling them to do the same thing, and develop less respect for you Boss may edit the daily production tracker that goes out to the Head Boss everyday, to make it seem as though you did no work for the day, even though you did Your supervisor might be nasty to you because others are being nasty to them your boss may make it seem like you are not a good fit for the team, even though others on the team come to you and complain about your boss's fit on the team

Pros

Absolutely nothing positive to say about Etrade or Morgan Stanley. Abysmal pay, broken promises, no future except if you enjoy taking endless phone calls from miserable clients. Soon there will be threats and repercussions if you don’t generate enough leads that you don’t get paid on.

Cons

I could write a novel as long as War and Peace on the negatives but not going to. Everything regarding compensation, future promotions, benefits is a lie. There is nothing positive about working at Etrade. Now people will read this and still accept a job offer and guaranteed will remember reading this post after of month of torture. Stay away!!
