Pros

Promotions are almost guaranteed if you stick long enough. Get in, work for one year, speak with you manager to get on 'track'. one year to get on track and not get promotion and then next year its your 'turn'

Cons

Runs like a sweatshop, Face time is more important than actual work, no regard for data quality or intent to fix it long term. Adjustments (scratch data to suit needs) is all over the firm. Every Q4 is bad and when its good, other issues are introduced to not give enough bonus. Raises in base are below market. Senseless job cuts of senior people and then working multiple years to re teach the skills.

Pros

Come in, do your job, go home. Hours are reasonable (8:30-6), so this place is good for people with children who want to go home to their wife.

Cons

Slow promotions, tiny bonuses, little opportunity for advancement. But I was working in commodities, which is nearly closed (whole sub-departments are sold off or shut down).

Pros

Pros – Competitive base, average benefit package, bonus payouts were above-average, but no longer the case. Great cafeteria, gym and onsite medical center. Colleagues at the VP level and below are great to work with, generally helpful, and willing to provide support on projects.

Cons

Cons - Direct managers - Executive Directors – only focus on promoting themselves (#1 compliant from employees). Time and time again, I’ve been asked to lead and implement projects, but when it coms to exposure, EDs take their teams work and present as their own. ED lack basic management skills, nowhere close to being “leaders”, immature, and lack any ability to be influential. Absolutely, no investment in training, or professional development. Training consists of either – 1) a managing director presenting on a topic for one hour, and that’s it, or 2) VPs training other VPs or juniors team members during a lunch and learn session. Year-end reviews are a joke…my last 3 reviews have lasted a total of 20 minutes.
