It's great to help students. You get to meet a ton of people and you'll experience a lot of things.

Cons

Very political environment. There is always someone you need clearance from, approval from, etc. so it takes forever to make change.

ORL looks out for their staff. They help to train you to make sure that you can do your job effectively. They show us how to be leaders on campus and why it is important to interact and engage with the residents. It can be a great experience as long as you have great time management.

Cons

The living conditions are not the best and the hours are ok. The biggest struggle comes from the problematic residents, missing night managers, fights and the last minute requests. Some of the RD's can be difficult, and what maybe ok with one, may not be with another.
