After a significant tenure, we've witnessed numerous changes to the compensation plan, leaving BDRs frustrated. Quota attainment remains a challenge, especially with unrealistic expectations set by sales leadership. The recent changes, including a new compensation plan and the exclusion of Small Business Accounts in Q2, have created uncertainty and dwindling motivation. In Q3, higher KPIs were introduced along with a reduction in accounts, making it difficult for most to meet targets. The burnout culture is rampant, and career growth opportunities have vanished. The organization seems out of touch with the competitive market, lacking appealing marketing content and relevant training. BDRs now face limited mobility within the company, with low pay increases even in advanced roles. The sales organization struggles with high turnover, criteria beyond BDR control, and an outdated management style. Constant mid-quarter structural changes disrupt compensation and hinder goal attainment. There are no annual merit increases, even for top performers. As a result, many tenured BDRs are looking elsewhere for opportunities, contributing to the burnout and high turnover issue.
