Pros

The benefits are awesome (as long as you stay within the mount sinai health system network)

Cons

A lot of favoritism for Inpatient Social Workers its ridiculous, not much fluidity and no SUPPORT, no room for growth, nor transparency when looking to grow and delve into opportunities the hospital has to offer, SUPER challenging to transfer positions in house.

Pros

bear the name of Mount Sinai Health System.

Cons

working in Mount Sinai Queens is like you are detached from what mount sinai health system envision-. cheap, impossible processes, outdated system, outdated processes, outdated mentality, discrimination, politics, micromanaging to the highest level, leadership not open to updates, understaffing issue, and all they want is money. benefits through union which is 1199, but very weak. also, you are not entitled to vacation within your first 6 months, then you will accrue it from 6th to 12th month and it's only 2 weeks. Leadership is allergic to the union policy, still do their decision without approval of the union, and yet union cant say nor do anything about it. leaders of each department argue and fights each other because of demands and not willing to compromise for the sake of the organization. leaders use their subordinates to actually communicate with the leaders to address issues, and dont talk to each other. leaders seems to be detached to one another. some people in the leadership are also incompetent.

Pros

1199 insurance is great for everyone

Cons

Management discriminates with the 100% backing of Human Resources. I was treated poorly because of my religious beliefs and management retaliated for complaining to HR.
