Sounds like things haven't changed much.

Pros

As a Warehouse Worker: It was a full time job straight out of high school. You could be very good at your job if you were able to count to 100 accurately. Good for your health as you are literally always walking. Ability to work Overtime. Berkshire Hathaway company so you can get discounts you will need because you aren't paid enough.

Cons

Overtime was often a necessity due to the fact that they paid nothing close to a living wage. The largest raise I received, despite several promotions, was a dollar an hour. Work/Life balance was terrible due to the necessity of 10+ hour days. Had the opportunity to move to the office towards the end of my tenure, but was told I would not be receiving a raise because I already made more than the group I would be joining. (Product Specialist, if I remember correctly) HR, obviously, is only used against you. I had performance reviews where my late time punches from earlier in the year were pulled from my file to tell me I was only going to receive a 25 cent raise.

Pros

Nice non-manager coworkers. Close to Target. Clean. Nice facilities. That's about it.

Cons

You are not treated well unless you are a favorite or a VP. The pay is laughable for the work they expect from you. You are treated like you are in grade school and not treated like a responsible adult. They don't believe in praise. Management is very elitist. Don't work here. They will promise you things and make it seem great, but it is bait and switch. Keep your resume polished so you can get out fast. Also very shady business practices I have seen first hand. They lie a lot and accept gifts for working with outside companies. Very unethical.

Pros

Close to home. Not stressful if you go into it with low expectations. Benefits are ok. No work on weekends.

Cons

Pay is well below industry standard. You are a telemarketer. You will be treated like a child. Management is not open to new ideas. There is not opportunity for advancement, even though management and directors claim there will be. High turnover, don't waste time getting to know anyones name unless they have been employed at least 6 months.
