Pros

Mouser is a conservative company that is very stable and continues to grow even when the industry has downturns or there are volatile situations that happen like Covid

Cons

Salaries are not competitive and several department heads are difficult to work with. Overall leadership is more traditionally focused in thinking especially around the development of the employee morale, incentives and environment

Don't work here

Pros

Great location. Easy to accrue PTO by the length of time you work there. They do small appreciations to recognize employees monthly. And if you can deal with all the nonsense it's a great place to work.

Cons

I'm sharing this here because i am unable to share this with HR. Management and HR do not have the best interest of their employees. You are a body that can be replaced. They do not care about you. The managers don't have your back. If anything goes wrong, it's your fault. If anything goes right, managers get the recognition even if they didn't do anything to participate. The are very clique-ish. They play favorites. Even if you run circles around other colleagues, overachieving them in the same job. If you are not in their clique then you don't get very much recognition and promotion is is very hard. Some managers are bullies and will gas-light you. Especially HR. They say things like; "Tell us how to improve" or " Please come to us with questions, we are open policy". And then the gas-lighting comes out and you are blind sided on how that became your fault. The HR manager for Sales and Finance is not good. She does not follow up on multiple import issues and then gas-lights you. Not to get into too much detail but the director had to follow up with her on an issue she refused to address for 3 weeks that another manager was not getting a response on. And that is only one instance. She continues to work like that. The benefits are no good even though it's Blue Cross-Blue Shield. You have to pay out of pocket with a very high deductible before they will contribute. The pay is not good compared to all the work you do. The workload is insane and so is the stress. Management's view is that things should only take a "small" amount of time. But have never fully done the job and wont sit with employees that do. To get heard and for things to change only slightly, there has to be massive walk outs with several employees quitting at the same time. There have been two in my department since working here. The training is not good. We have procedures that management will tell you to read and go by. But then if you go by them you"ll get in trouble because the procedures have really changed. But their documents have not. I don't know of any of our department procedures that are even close to accurate. Most of them are under 30% accurate. They do not set you up for greatness. They set you up to fail. They do not provide the necessary tools to do your job and they have not improved much in the last 4 years. I've worked there 5 years. You are only guaranteed three holidays off. You have to use your PTO for any other holiday.
