Difficult to grow/climb the ladder. With quick turnover, people seem to be promoted more due to circumstance rather than merit

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We’re happy to hear you’re having a positive experience and building strong relationships with your colleagues! Inkers’ development and growth continues to be a priority for us at Movable Ink. We have an open-door policy at Movable Ink, value all of our employees' feedback; If you’re open to it, we would love to hear from you and ask that you reach out to peopleteamhelp@movableink.com or confidentially to one of the HR leads so we can learn more about your experience.
- I work at the Toronto office and its work from home except we come in on Thursdays. On Thursday we get catered food and we play board games like Avalon and foosball. I love this healthy balance of work from home 4 days a week and in the office once a week. - All the software team leads are patient, supportive and appreciative. - Great work life balance and reasonable deadlines. - Great work in front-end (React), Backend (Python, Elixir), and Data engineering (GCP and Hadoop).
Cons
- I have not found major cons at this company so far, only thing is they deduct around $1000 from the salary for the health benefits (even if you don't use them).

Hi there! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. We’re so excited that you’re having a positive experience on our software development team! We encourage you to reach out to our People team to better understand which health benefits you’ve elected. Employees have to actively enroll in our health benefits and should only have deductions if they’ve chosen to enroll - there’s no deductions for employees who are not enrolled in our health benefits. We’re so happy you enjoy coming into the office one day a week and wish you luck in the next foosball tournament!
