Pros

Great benefits, top cash bonus, smart coworkers, work week vacations for the whole family for free, stunning financial situation, incredible work life balance and inspiring community. Currently only recommended right after college.

Cons

Upper management is living in the past and mostly interested in their own career. Company vision and mission is feel-good therapy for the upper inner-circle. The company is bleeding talent and the core business is imploding.

Good afternoon, and thank you for your feedback! This type of candid feedback is critical to change and our growth as an organization. I wanted to take the time to highlight the fact that the people team here at Mozilla is poised to do some great things this year with regards to hiring people that are Mozillians inside and out. We agree that those that breathe our unique spirit and mission will be the core of our future growth. If you feel comfortable doing so and have any other information or concerns that you feel would be good for me to know and communicate please reach out! My email is cstpierre@mozilla.com and would love to hear more. Thank you! Chris, Talent Specialist

Pros

The work/life balance is great most of the time.

Cons

To echo some previous reviews; Middle managers with nothing to do but micromanage, emotional abuse, complete lack of direction at a team/project level and at a company level. I was hired to bring new ideas and ways of thinking to my team. After a few months, I realized that all I had done was spin my wheels and do things "the way it's always been done". Because of this, I, like many others have lost all motivation to care and are hoping someone will wake up. For these reasons and a hundred more, I could never find myself recommending Mozilla to anyone unless Mozilla and really turn the ship around.

Thank you for your feedback. At Mozilla, as you know, we work very hard to maintain our unique culture and value the opinions of others. I am sorry that this is not your experience. I just wanted to take the time to let you know that I have seen this feedback and I wanted to let you know I will communicate these concerns where appropriate. If you have anything else you'd like to discuss feel free to email me at cstpierre@mozilla.com. Thank you! Chris, Talent Specialist

Unfullfilling work

Pros

Nice office and location. Meetings every week to keep everyone in the loop of the latest. snack and lunch provided.

Cons

So sad what mozilla has become.. it's like their in a unlucky cycle. Seems like they go online to see what the next big tech trend is and try to follow, find a little niche they might be able to dominate, dump a bunch of man power and money into it, realize they are too late and can't keep up with the competition and end up backing out of it completely. Very uneasy feeling being part of a company that is always changing directions, they try to tell everyone it's all sunshine and rainbows. Contributing work here has become.. unfulfilling.
