      Pros

      Dedicated coworkers and wonderful patients are the only things that make it worthwhile.

      Cons

      Management will look for reasons to get rid of you, if you earn too much money. They only care about the bottom line. They really don't care about staff & work -life balance. Patient safety & satisfaction aren't too priority. Don't be fooled! The CEO is cutting budgets so tightly, that longterm, higher paid employees are losing their jobs. He won't consider reducing his multi million dollar salary.

      Work life balance The company values Transparency in communication Supportive and caring teammates that want to see you succeed Leadership Lack of politics (other than union stuff) and not super hierarchical

      Cons

      Been some resistance to change but you can see the culture slowly adjusting and embracing these changes. Some of the positions are under union contracts, which can enable lower performers work the system.

      Enjoyed working with my nurse colleagues. Pay was fair.

      Cons

      Hostile work environment. Management kept us in constant fear of loosing our jobs due to budget cuts as we were senior nurses.

      Like all healthcare providers, MultiCare is being paid less and less each year for the care we provide. Given this, we need to reduce our costs. To date, we have achieved significant cost reductions with very minimal layoffs. We are continuing to look for ways to reduce our costs while ensuring high quality care and high levels of patient satisfaction.
