Pros

excellent support staff. Quality of providers generally well above average

Cons

leadership at all levels have become more toxic as the treat providers with increasing disrespect. willing to sacrifice patient safety and provider burnout to pursue patient satisfactions survey results and increase profits on the backs of providers with uncompensated work increases throughout the organization.

Although you have already left, we would appreciate knowing which unit you worked in so we can address the issues you have raised. Rudeness and intimidation are definitely not behaviors that are consistent with our values. We’re also sorry your travel assignment didn’t meet your expectations. Many of the travelers who work for us have such a positive experience that they end up becoming MultiCare employees.

Pros

I'm really struggling to think of any "pros" other than it's a job if you don't have one and need a paycheck. If you get lucky and have a decent manager and coworkers it makes it bearable.

Cons

They do not care about their employees. Over the past 2 years many employees have been laid off, most permanently, saleries/ wages have been cut, work related injuries have increased due to running skeleton crews and staff being overworked, they keep reducing full time positions so they don't have to provide benefits and benefits continue to get worse and nor expensive every year. I know of one department that laid off all employees with over 20 years of experience. If they appreciate their employees they have a funny way of showing it, "Hi. Thanks for dedicating 20 years of your career and life to helping us grow! Unfortunately, because you have so much experience we have to pay you too much, so we're going to have to let you go and hire a new grad who we can pay less and take advantage of. Don't worry, we'll probably fire them too once they climb too high on the payscale. We're really only worried about our bottom line. " And if you're wondering why I'm still employed here, trust me, I'm looking and am hoping to be moving on shortly. With corporations these days it is hard to find one that truly values and cares about their employees and doesn't try to increase corporate profit by taking it from the employees. If I can't find one that does care, at least I will be paid better somewhere else.
