Pros

Benefits, job security, help other people

Cons

every week policies change, getting screamed, yelled and told the worst thing also if you are compassionate and calm and respectful by customers because federal and state policies do not match people desires

Pros

Multnomah county health dept claims to center equity.

Cons

Multnomah county does the polar opposite of centering equity. They hire black & brown workers as tokenized representation, inflict countless microaggressions on trans & nonbinary staff, refuse to take ownership for lack of equity training, promise they’ll provide some, but never do. They Refused to give pay differential to staff who were owed it for being bilingual (we were told not to speak our first languages so as to avoid having to pay us) and who had specific cultural skills & knowledge as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, LGBTQ+, etc. Many employees who spoke up received gaslighting & illegal retaliation in response from managers & supervisors. It is a hostile & toxic work environment.
