Pros

far greater pay and benefits than other competitors I have worked for like O'Reilly, autozone and merles. These companies make you feel like you work at wal mart. Your just a doer/pawn to complete operations. At Napa you do feel like a part of a team, like you are all in to the company you work for. You get treated better and paid better than their counter parts.

Cons

Lately Napa is engaging in a "run bare bones lean" campaign that means each person has to handle excessive work loads. If sales are down, P/L report negative or profits are down, the only answer is to cut hours. Run leaner until you only have one person answering phones and getting yelled at because customers are pissed off about poor service. The only way to advance is to work 50 to 60 hours a week. I imagine the CEO must work 24/7 (pause for laughter) Being constantly burnt out and pissed off is not my idea of a career path.

Pros

The hours are okay overall. I'm currently a full time employee. The pay is decent for the work. I would not consider this as a career path.

Cons

Unreasonable expectations. Very low moral. People coming into the store and new hires can see this very quickly. Very little communication between anyone especially management and employees. Many of the employees don't care about their job (no work ethic).

Almost impossible to get fired unless you get caught stealing.

Rapidly becoming the same as competitors like Advance and Autozone.
