Pros

NBC is an exciting place to be; there are contstantly promotional events happening in the experience store, and everything is centrally located in 30 Rock. It's pretty cool to go into work and bump into celebs heading up to SNL rehearsal! Another benefit of having everything in the same location is that it is easy to communicate with and learn from other departments.

Cons

Job security, especially if you are entry level and employed through Yoh. Yoh also doesn't provide benefits, and you can be employed through them a maximum of one year. After that, although it is likely, there is no guarantee you will have a spot on staff.

Pros

To be apart of and create for an established brand is priceless. People are focused, driven, talented and excited to come to work each day. Opportunities to meet folks for mentorship in other divisions are widely availably.

Cons

Managing egos and the political game inside out side of our dept. can be challenging at times.

Pros

Phenomenal access to senior management allows employees of all levels to have exposure across the company. GE culture of promoting upward and lateral movement within the company encourages employees to grow in their role and always seek new and innovative opportunities in the organization.

Cons

When ratings are down, money is down across the company. Internal politics can make new products and projects slow-going. Traditional media still gets the lion-share of money and attention, which makes sense but also makes innovation difficult. GE hurdle rates are not always best-suited for media-related projects.
