Hello, thank you for taking the time to write a review. We really value current and historic colleague feedback, it enables us to help to continue to build a great culture and place to work. Thank you for listing some of your pros. It’s great to hear that you regard our teams, clients, culture and career growth as reasons you enjoy working at NCC Group. We appreciate the points you have raised around poor technology, flexibility, office supplies and sales leadership. In terms of poor technology, flexibility, management and office supplies - we would recommend reaching out to your line manager if you feel comfortable to do so or our People Team who should be able to support on these areas. Thanks again for taking the time to sharing your honest experience - we hope you continue to have a great career with us!

Pros

The people - well, some of them. NCC Group employs a lot of great people across the business, I worked with a lot of people across the organisation during my time at NCC had a lot of great relationships The Office - The Manchester office is great (ironic now everyone is remote), its super modern, right in the middle of Spinningfields with lots of amenities and break out rooms etc. The flexibility - within my department, the flexibility was great. There was no micromanagement of working hours, flex to home-work where needed, you were left to be yourself at work which was really nice The product offering - NCC has a very strong and well respected name within their respective markets. This gave a certain level of prestige to be associated with the brand and was also a really interesting sector to learn about

Cons

Toxic HR Culture - The HR culture and approach was pretty backwards. This is all being driven by three individuals. Joining the organisation, everything was great but as time went on and changes were made, things went from good, to bad to terrible. A distinct lack of leadership and ridiculous hesitancy in making decisions lead to massive anxiety, crippling uncertainty and unwanted change. Great individuals left the business with no replacements brought in, we were more or less left to fend for ourselves during that time with no guidance and an invisible senior leadership team who only ever spoke to you when they wanted something from you. If you're not Sales or Delivery, the senior leadership team(s) don't care about you and you're pretty much a second class citizen. I'm not including all of the SLT in this, I don't want to tar them all with the same brush as there are some that are fantastic people who really do care - the CFO for example, is absolutely excellent. An unhealthy desire to globalize - NCC has a global presence which is great. But there is this underlying determination (driven by the CEO) to have a "global workforce" - which on the face of it is fine. But people outside of the UK were being handed senior roles within the organisation, just because they were international employees, not because they deserved the job. Benefits - The benefits are non-existent really. The vast majority of employees have no benefits at all other than the odd car allowance and being able to buy additional leave. Compared with other organisations of a similar size the benefits are well below par.
