Pros

Great rapport, collaboration, and overall experience with other multidisciplinary team members, primarily in the critical care setting

Cons

Underpaid and overworked; Department management does not care about you; Salaried employee cons: NOT eligible for overtime pay; NO “clock in/clock out” of shifts, yet badge swipes and logins are secretly monitored as if you were a child - time is spent issuing disciplinary actions (including termination) related to this rather than focusing on the actual needs of the department - this practice is also not applied fairly or consistently (first person targeted under new directorship was the only pharmacist with children who was a single mother of a 2 year old when terminated); NO performance reviews ever, any expression of appreciation, pay raises, etc.

Pros

The reason I only gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the previous coworkers and management I had in the ICU were gems of support. And the pay outpatient was pretty decent compared to other places.

Cons

Once I transferred to another department, the support was nonexistent. The only reason I completed 2 years was because of that contract with the sign on bonus they tend to shackle employees to. This organization only cares about the wealthy donors, not the employees who are the backbone and the reason NCH has achieved some of the highest ratings in healthcare. Many of the management treat us like we're chess pieces instead of human beings. Unfortunately if you live in Naples/fort myers theres not many hospitals to work at. And the pay can always be better especially since the cost of living in Naples is absurd.
