Pros

The director and clinical coordinator are great to work for. I always felt like they supported me and were flexible with my schedule and needs. My department was very supportive and kind.

Cons

Most individuals outside of the Respiratory Department were very rude, unfriendly, condescending, and difficult to work with. The medical, PTO, and other benefits are very poor. I now work for a health care system that is only 20 miles away from NCH and the benefits package is much better and compensation is much better. I am comparing apples to apples here when comparing my current employer to my former (NCH Healthcare). STEER CLEAR of this hospital system. They are all about the bottom line. I have worked in health care for many years and have worked at several different health care facilities and I have to admit that NCH is by far the worst I have ever worked at. Honestly, I feel bad to give this company a poor rating, but I have to let others know what they could potentially get themselves into when working here and I can't emphasize it enough. DO NOT work for this company. They are all about numbers, numbers, numbers... the bottom line! I hope this helps others because I didn't think to check out other reviews about NCH on glass door! I appreciate being able to inform others about this company.

Pros

Great people to work with- love the medical field - would rather a walk in clinic vs the hospital - generally more staffing DR in both facilities were for the most part great to work with.

Cons

Long hours, not enough staff especially on the overnight shift and when asking for another person to assist with coverage was told "if I did't like it there is always someone right behind me to take my job and I could quit." Not the kind of response you want to hear from your boss. Sometimes you just need extra qualified help to cover the volume of patients and to treat them with care and dignity.

Pros

The nurses I worked with truly cared about patients and meeting their needs.

Cons

Management didn't care about nothing but the bottom line. Patient health was second to money. They refused to give raises to anyone who asked, firing employees 10 years with the company, and spent millions on new logos and art pieces, spending money to look better but refusing to spend money on the actual employees. Spitting in our face
