Hands down the best mortgage company I have worked for in my 16 years of being in the business. Highly recommended to anyone looking to take their career to the next level.

Not all it's cracked up to be

Pros

The company boasted a strong culture, provided incentives and a "fun" office experience

Cons

Leadership in the branch was short sighted and more focused on profit than people. Corporate knew of opportunities within the branch but overlooked them since the branch was making money. No performance reviews, no raises, and success was more of a popularity contest or who "got there first". The goal was to close loans above all else, regardless of what was right and regardless of what made sense. People should never be put in a position to do something they are not comfortable with just to close a loan. And LO's should never be promised free reign when there are processes and rules in place FOR A REASON. During the pandemic we worked harder than EVER before, but were told we were "lucky" to have jobs.

Pros

Have you ever started a job and it's completely different than what you expected? In this industry, it is all too common. You are sold on a dream workplace and it turns out to just truly not be the case. NFM has been everything I was told it would be. The workflow for Ops is mapped out to the T - they give you EVERYTHING you need to succeed. There are checklists and templates for everything. Information is easy to find on the company intranet.

Cons

Sort of a con, but not really: daily conference calls. BUT again, this is part of the workflow that makes it very hard to not do well here. You are held accountable for your work and I appreciate that.
