Pros
PEOPLE, Leadership/Management, Commute, Flexibility and Benefits.
I am a current employee working for Wisconsin Interactive Network, a subsidiary of NIC. Wisconsin Interactive Network (WIN) is an excellent company. Everyone around here are wonderful, there is a good coordination and team work is amazing. We work with state departments to help people interact and connect with the government.
Co-workers at WIN are friendly, supportive and helpful all the time.
Work/life balance is good and you have to keep your manager informed about your schedules. Work from home is allowed but company's preference is to come into office. Actually, you will always like to be in office and meet everyone around. Moreover, we are downtown and it is easy to reach from any side of the city.
We have fun activities, we celebrate national days, there are snacks all the time, huge chairs around office to sit conveniently and work from anywhere in the office, puzzles, pizzas, pets.......and the list continues.
Management will always encourage and make a room for you when you want to grab any learning opportunity. Sometime you even get an opportunity to help other portals in the country.
Last but not the least, benefits are next to none, I haven't seen these type of benefits anywhere.
Cons
We park two blocks away from the office building. While it is a good walking exercise it gets difficult in winter.
