      Great company with a huge potential, but has a problem with planning and execution.

      Pros

      Great benefits, get to work with new and emerging technologies, remote work is allowed.

      Cons

      No real possibilty of advancement, pay is below market value, if you're not "part of the club" with management you might as well find another job.

      Pros

      Very relaxed atmosphere - folks come in when they want and leave when they want. No real goals or pressure from leadership - folks just do what they think is needed.

      Cons

      That relaxed feeling causes tension since some people take advantage of it - they do nothing and leadership doesn't call them on it. Other folks with a greater sense of responsibility get frustrated because they try to cover for those who aren't doing their job - the good people eventually leave and the incompetent or lazy ones are allowed to stay. Morale is poor and work/life balance just means folks leave whether stuff gets done or not. There is also no opportunity in such a small company unless you want to move your family to a tiny state to take an NIC job there.
